Rachel Armstrong / Lagoon experiments

Grazie alla possibilità fornita da Rachel Armstrong ho potuto vedere le protocellule in azione, hanno un tempo di reazione molto veloce, si cibano di CO2 presente nell'acqua della Laguna di Venezia e la trasformano in carbonato di calcio, la stessa reazione compiuta da delle piccole alghe di nome Coccoluti.
Le protocellule assumevano forme circolare di un colore bianco latte e se molto vicine tra di loro si fondevano accrescendosi.


I saw the protocells in action, the reaction was very quickly and the protocelles ate the CO2 into Lagoon water and produced a calcium carbonate.
The protocells were round shaped and the colore white like milk, if close to eachother, the protocells fused togheter.

Illustrator gradient swap

Questo piccolo script permette di eseguire l'inversione tra riempimento e bordo in illustrator di una moltiplicità di elementi con diversi colori tra di loro (azione non possibile manualmente), utile per quando si esportano delle mappature ottenute in Rhinoceros.
Gli oggetti sono stati cotti con lo script di Giulio Piacentino per Grasshopper e esportati in illustrator.


A little script in Illustrator for swapping stroke and fill of many objects which compose the gradient surface, that is exported from Rhinoceros.
The objects in Grasshopper are baked with bake Attributes by Giulio Piacentino.
